The legendary Centenário Stadium needed structures to meet its lighting project, which antecipated a slim structure: a major challenge in 1981, when the Gold Cup (Mundialito) was held. Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol found the solution using single-tube towers 40 meters high, which used special high-flow steels – designed through the Siemens+Seccional partnership – allowing for the placement of 48 projectors.
